The One Behind the Art
Through Carlmont's journalism program, Scot Scoop, I have been able to find a balance between creative expression and written storytelling. I grew not only as a journalist, but as an artist, finding joy in breathing topics into colorful, vibrant life. Journalism has ignited a passion in me to witness, to always question, and to give a voice to all the topics that are left untold.
About Me
I am 17 years old and currently a junior at Carlmont High School in Belmont, CA. I joined Scot Scoop in my sophomore year, and I have grown ever since. Now, I am the Editorial Cartoon Managing Editor and thoroughly enjoy bringing light to topics I'm passionate about through a creative medium and guiding others to do the same. Whether it be through rubrics, presentations, or just face-to-face conversations, I find immense importance in keeping the art of creating alive.
In my free time, I always enjoy a good nap, but I can be found working at my parents' local bagel deli or helping out with the associated student body (ASB) as the Class President!
